Pope Benedict XVI’s Prayer Intentions – September 2010

According to EWTN, here are Pope Benedict XVI’s prayer intentions for the upcoming month of September 2010:

General: The Word of God as Sign of Social Development
“That in less developed parts of the world the proclamation of the Word of God may renew people’s hearts, encouraging them to work actively toward authentic social progress.”

Pope Benedict’s Missionary Prayer Intention: The End of War
“That by opening our hearts to love we may put an end to the numerous wars and conflicts which continue to bloody our world.”

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.  Blessed art thou among women, and Blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  St. Jude, pray for us.  St. Gianna, pray for us.  St. John Vianney pray for us.  Sts. Monica & Augustine, pray for us.  St. Joseph, pray for us.

Since I’m on the topic of the Holy Father, here’s a great blog post written by a seminarian friend who got to see Pope Benedict XVI today, [sort-of] up-close at his summer residence.
